BOO-TIFUL HALLOWEEN PARTY

1

Bestowing her virtues on everyone.

Tracy Wright, the manager/curator/healer at Healing Arts Place.

On October, 29, 2011, The Healing Arts Place hosted a Halloween party for the public.  There were healthy snacks, not so healthy snacks (but, hey, it was Halloween, right?), punch, and a whole lot of fun!  Every costume was fun, and the conversation joyous.

Tracy held a contest to see if anyone could tell her what she was dressed as, and Kaylee Howard finally guessed “The Virtue of Everything.”  Whew!  It took a lot of Googling to figure that out.  Kaylee won a beautiful necklace that was handcrafted using a fused glass technique by Christine Seger-Rue.  We were all duly jealous.

The Republican candidate for Mayor of Jasper, Terry Seitz, even put in an appearance dressed as, well, the Republican Mayoral Candidate of Jasper.  We had a hard time figuring that one out, but finally did.  He dropped by on his door-to-door campaign and just had a god time, answered some questions, and I think enjoyed the camaraderie, food, and laughs.

The party lasted all afternoon, costumes were exchanged for jeans and our regular faces (scarier?  I know what you were thinking!), and people trickled in and out.  The kids had a great time playing in the art room, and toward the end of the day, a Monopoly game was concluded, the cupcakes gone, and all that was left was a promise of another Halloween party in another year.

Now, on to O’Tannebaum Days.  We hope you will join us for that wonderful Historic Downtown Jasper extravaganza.  Our grand opening with ribbon cutting will be December 2, and the celebration will commence with prizes, free massages and healing touch services, through December 4, with live music, more prizes, more fun!  See the calendar of events and we will keep you posted there!
